About Mr Matthew Erritty
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist specialising in general and complex benign gynaecology, with particular expertise in minimally invasive surgery.
Alongside my private practice in Surrey, I am an NHS Consultant Gynaecologist and Clinical Lead for the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology at Ashford & St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust.
My approach is to understand what matters to each patient, explain the available options clearly and consider conservative, medical and surgical treatments where appropriate.
NHS consultant & clinical leadership
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist at Ashford & St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust and Clinical Lead for the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology (CEMIG).
Minimally invasive surgery
I have advanced expertise in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, including the assessment and surgical treatment of complex benign gynaecological conditions.
General gynaecology
My practice also includes the investigation and treatment of common gynaecological problems such as abnormal bleeding, heavy or painful periods, fibroids, ovarian cysts, polyps and pelvic pain.
I work closely with radiology, fertility, colorectal and other specialist colleagues when multidisciplinary care is helpful.
My approach to your care
Appointments are designed to give you time to explain what has been happening, understand what may be causing your symptoms and discuss the options available.
My aim is for you to leave the consultation understanding the next steps and why they have been recommended.
